Why do I see AdSense PSA (Public Service Ads) on my WhyPark sites?

Unfortunately, WhyPark does not get any kind of notification.
If you would like, you can always try our integrated ad network for supplying PPC ads on your sites.

No, not right now. Email is currently not setup with WhyPark domains. You would have to use your own
DNS and just point the website to us.
That way you can keep your email and have the site with us.
Instead of changing the name servers for hosting, you can have your current DNS provider make an IP change.
They will just have to point the A Record to our IP, which is: 98.129.126.138
Another option is to create a custom "contact" page that includes your email information.

Could you tell me how to make text ads?
If you have a link you need to insert for something like a reciprocal link,
we recommend using the text links section.
Everything is just type-in information except where you want to place the Ad Click-thru Link.
Be sure to set the Ad Start Date for either yesterday or any other earlier date so the text link
becomes live right away.
You can choose to add the text link to just the homepage or site wide.
This is easy to customize at anytime.

I want to cancel my account, what should I do?
If you have upgraded your account to a paid tier, you can edit this under the My Account tab, then Manage Subscription link.
You will want to select the Standard (free) plan and then confirm the downgrade.
Once you are at the Standard account tier, or if you are already at the Standard account level, there is no need to cancel since your account is free.
You can remove all your domains from your account using our Bulk Actions menu, and you can change your domain's name servers at any time.
You may want to leave the account open in case you want to use it again in the future. If you are currently a "grandfathered" customer, and you wanted to re-open an account at a later date, you would need to go through the account approval process and you would lose your grandfathered benefits.
We can manually delete the account though if you would prefer that, just send an email to support@whypark.com.

My Google Analytics information hasn’t installed, what should I do?
We have seen this issue with WhyPark customers more and more. Google seems to take either longer to show Analytics installed, or it shows as not installed.
It seems that once traffic starts to flow in though, they do register it as installed.
We still suggest double checking the code is copied and pasted correctly, and then wait.
If you just moved the domain to WhyPark, it seems like Google is still trying to find the code at the old host/location.
We think they may cache their DNS, so it may take a few days before your will be able to verify the code exists on WhyPark.

My AdSense ads are irrelevant to my WhyPark site, why is this?
Are your keywords producing relevant articles? Check your keywords.
If you do not see any results, I would recommend contacting Google directly.
All we can do is copy and paste their code. WhyPark does not get any kind of direct notification regarding third party ads.

I do not know what the top ad code and bottom ad code is. Is this something that I have to pay extra for?
There is not an extra fee to use our ad network, nor do you have to insert any ad code, the ads are just integrated to your sites.
You can also use any third party ad network if you do not want to use WhyPark’s integrated ad system, but that is only available for customers with upgraded tier subscriptions.
You would then need to copy and paste this third party ad code in the appropriate areas under the Site Settings section.

Content could be duplicated across multiple sites that have the same

You may also want to consider adjusting and researching your keywords to increase
the number of available articles being rotated.
In previous content related issues with AdSense, WhyPark staff and customers have never
been able to get a straight-forward answer from AdSense support, but it is most likely because of
duplicate content issues.

All traffic to your sites should be from links from other sites, directories, blogs, organic search, and type-in/direct navigation.
If you upgrade your account to be able to use a third party ad network and you are not using WhyPark integrated ads, you can use PPC advertising such as AdWords to drive traffic to your sites.
If you're running third-party ads and using paid traffic, we suggest that you check with the ad network to ensure they allow this.

When I view the source code on my website, why doesn’t it show any keywords?
We do not currently use the Meta Keyword tag because it’s pretty much ignored these days by the major search engines.
It also just shows everyone which keywords you’re trying to optimize for. If you still would like to use it, you could technically
add the tag into the Google Sitemap Verification area. You’d need to add the entire tag though, but that would get it into the HEAD area of the HTML.

This is available if you upgrade your account from a standard account, or you are "grandfathered" customer. Customizing is highly recommended.
The image and template changes would be done in the "layout" section. You will be able to find additional instructions on this page.
To use images in your layout, you must host your images elsewhere, such as a free image hosting service (recommended: ImageShack)
or web host (recommended: StartLogic).
Then, use the full url to the image in your layout. Use the [[image]] placeholder to include a category-targeted image in your layout.
If you make any changes you are not happy with, you can always revert the layout to a different template.
WhyPark also offers image hosting functionality with easy insertion. This option is a matter of picking an image from your gallery,
choosing the size and clicking “insert” into the layout.

I forgot my login password; can you email it to me?
Please try the “Forgot Password” link under the Login form and enter your WhyPark account email address.
For security reasons, a new password will be sent to the provided email address (you also may want to be sure to check your spam filter).
Use this new password information to login to your account.
You can then update all your information including your password under the “My Account” tab, then click Manage Profile.
Enter your new password in the Password box, enter same password in the Confirm Password box, then click Submit at the bottom of the page.
**Passwords are case sensitive.

No, there is not an expiration date for ad revenue payments.

Tax forms are reviewed twice a month, at the beginning and middle of each month.

What is a TQ Score?
Yahoo provides Traffic Quality (TQ) Scores at an account level, which gives you an indication as to how well your traffic converts for advertisers.

You must have a minimum number of clicks per day on your account in order to receive a score each week.
If a new TQ score is available, you will be able to view your updates on Thursdays. You will also be able to view your TQ Score history back through April 2009.

If you want to run WhyPark ads, they are automatically placed ("Related Searches") at the top and bottom of the Main Body articles.

If you want to use WhyPark ads, this setting is available in the Site Settings section, or if you are a new Standard WhyPark user, our ads are automated.
Just an FYI, you can only run one ad network per site, otherwise you would be breaking TOS.

I am getting a Google error about duplicate content and it seems like it is referencing “black hat” SEO, what does this mean?
We do not do anything black hat and definitely no cloaking.
We source content from numerous partners, but it's not unique to a single domain (although we can write custom content for a site at a fee per page).
You may want to consider adjusting and researching your keywords to increase the number of available articles being rotated.
Content could be duplicated across multiple sites that have the same theme. We are currently working on ways to prevent that or at least decrease it.
You can add unique content to any site, which is always recommended.

Yes, your content is all based on the keywords you choose, and how much content we have that matches your keywords.
For a targeted, niche site, we recommend keeping ONLY the keywords that are specific to the domain theme and removing the rest.

Can I see a list of my Newsletter subscribers?
Yes, once you hold a Managed account tier you will be able to see a list of subscribers under the Shortcuts menu. Here is some additional information on this process:
The subscribers in your list have double opted-in. This means they first completed the newsletter signup form through your site and were sent a confirmation email. A subscriber is not shown in this list or delivered the newsletter until they click on a confirmation link in that email. This ensures that each subscriber intended to signup for your newsletter and are the highest quality subscribers.

We do not currently have a .mobi compliant template.
Unfortunately, the .mobi template relies too heavily on everyone making multiple versions of one site, and we treat all domain extensions the same.
This type of template is on our radar, but we're watching to see how phone technology continues to evolve.
For example, the iPhone views standard pages fine.

These numbers refer to someone who is managing their own DNS.
I assume you will not need this information when you are changing the server information for your domains.

We recommend having niche domains, but if the domain topic is too specific, you will have less relevant content articles and ads available.
You can customize your WhyPark sites and have an unlimited number of custom pages per domain.

We have seen this issue with WhyPark customers more and more. Google seems to take either longer to show Analytics installed, or it shows as not installed.
It seems that once traffic starts to flow in though, they do register it as installed.
We still suggest double checking the code is copied and pasted correctly, and then wait.
If you just moved the domain to WhyPark, it seems like Google is still trying to find the code at the old host/location.
We think they may cache their DNS, so it may take a few days before your will be able to verify the code exists on WhyPark.
You could also use another service like StatCounter, which is also free.

If you are a "grandfathered" customer or an Enhanced or Managed tier customer, you can customize this section by adding custom HTML or Javascript code in the Layout area.
The Custom Page section automatically adds custom pages to the Main Body articles only.

Does WhyPark have any German content articles?
Unfortunately, most of the non-English content we currently have is in Spanish.
You can however always add your own custom German content with the Custom Page section at any time.

Is it reasonable to cross link my own sites?
Some people on WhyPark do this and say it works well, but it's always best to get links from outside of your own sites.

If you have a copyright free image that you would like to insert (or an image that you have paid for), you can add custom images per your Enhanced or Managed account.

Grandfathered customer at the Standard account level can also add custom images, but these customers will need to host their images at a different location, such as TinyPic:

Why wasn't my content approved for ContentPromote?
The common reasons for a feed being declined include:
- You are not offering a full-text RSS or XML feed. Summaries are not accepted as we can only syndicate full text content through our network.
- Posts are commonly too short or provide little text content. We like to syndicate text with over 250 words per posting on average.
- The content is inappropriate for syndication
If you login to ContentPromote (www.contentpromote.com) and click on Manage Feeds, you will notice that you have an opportunity to edit the feed and resubmit for review again, or you may remove the feed.

If I transfer a domain to another WhyPark account, will all my customizations be included?
When you transfer domains from one account to another, all the settings including Site Settings info, custom images, templates, etc. are moved to the new account.
The transfer does also include any revenue received for these domain, and the stat information.
If you created "groups" for these domains, or if the accounts don't share the same upgraded tier features, that WILL NOT transfer.

I recently purchased a domain and the site description in Google is wrong and has not updated, why?
There is not a way for us to remove these expired links from search engines and we cannot remove it from Google directly.
We do what Google tells us though, so it will get eventually purged.

No, WhyPark does not handle any domain sales internally, but our users can have their sites listed for sale and sell their domains via a third party company.

Why don't my sites have the "www."?
Your domains should be listed without the "www." in the Domain Name box in the Site Settings section.
This box should just be the domain name.
But, domains can use the www or not use it, but both will work on WhyPark.

Can I add Sitemaps?
Search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN offer a method for submitting an XML sitemap to gain insight into how they view or crawl your site. Your XML sitemap is available at [domain]/google-sitemap.cfm. For instance, if your domain name is example.com, your XML sitemap would be at http://www.example.com/google-sitemap.cfm.
In the Site Settings section, there is a Sitemap Verification box.
After submitting to some search engines, they will provide a meta tag to include in your site to verify that you own the site. Copy that full code and paste it into the Sitemap Verification field. For instance, the full code for an XML sitemap submitted to Google would look like this:

You may enter more than one verification code in this box and each will be displayed in the HEAD section of your homepage.

The Dynamic Image template is not producing a relevant image, why?
Here is some information on how these templates work:
The templates that include the dynamic image placeholder are based on the theme or category of the domain.
A domain's theme is analyzed behind the scenes and assigned along with a top-level category.
We're adding hundreds of new images weekly at the theme level, which is highly targeted and relevant.
If we don't yet have an image for that theme, then the category image is used. So, you may find that your site has a category image now, but a week from now has a much more relevant image. If you're using these new templates, your images will update automatically.

Can I use negative keywords?
Yes, you have the option of including terms you DO NOT want included in our keyword article matching.
This will give you greater control of your content. To add negative keywords, simply add a hyphen before the keyword or phrase in your Site Settings keyword list.
For instance, if I want to include articles about mortgages and bad debt, but not credit cards, my keyword list would look like this:
mortgages
bad debt
-credit cards
This will match the keyword mortgages, the phrase bad debt, and remove any articles related to credit cards, keeping the most relevant articles from that mix.
